Mixed Media, including (but not limited to) felt, cotton floss, faux-fur, repurposed and/or reclaimed Near-Eastern jewelry
This hat was inspired both by medieval mongolian hats as well as a specific one which I saw in a book on Scythian art and culture. Several of the metal pieces have been aged and distressed, and the patches on the side were hand-stitched. (The design on the patches is the Welsh Red Dragon, continuing my running theme of combining Celtic art and culture with pieces not ordinarily Celtic in nature.)
